The Challenge

The airline introduced Premium Economy for a subset of its flights and turned to APT to answer two key questions: Would significant trade-down from Business Class occur? Would the investment in Premium Economy pay back across our flight network? 

The Results

With insights from Test & Learn®, the airline discovered that introducing Premium Economy caused trade down from Business and First Class to occur. However, the software identified a subset of flights where investments in Premium Economy would pay back, and generated a strategy that would improve revenue from further rollout by $50MM annually.
